Dr. Richard Nepomuceno is a Comprehensive Ophthalmologist who specializes in treatment for Cataract, Cornea, and Refractive Surgery. He ensures that his patients instantly enjoy clear vision, which in turn boosts the patient’s day to day productivity, and allows them to once again enjoy life’s activities with the people they love.
Dr. Richard Nepomuceno obtained his medical degree from the University of the Philippines College of Medicine. After being awarded Most Outstanding Ophthalmology Intern at the University of the Philippines-Philippine General Hospital, he completed his Ophthalmology residency at the same institution. This was followed by an External Eye Disease fellowship at the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, UP-Philippine General Hospital and another fellowship in Cornea and Refractive Surgery at the Jules Stein Eye Institute, University of California, Los Angeles, USA.
He is a board-certified ophthalmologist and is Fellow of the Philippine Academy of Ophthalmology. He is a member of various medical societies here and abroad including the American Society for Cataract and Refractive Society, International Society of Refractive Surgery, Philippine Society for Cornea and Refractive Surgery and the Cornea Club of the Philippines.
Teaching is an important facet of Dr. Nepomuceno’s daily activities. He is involved in the Ophthalmology Residency training programs of the University of the Philippines-Philippine General Hospital, St.Luke’s Medical Center, Our Lady of Fatima University Medical Center, and the East Avenue Medical Center. He is an examiner of the Philippine Board of Ophthalmology. He has published several scientific papers both locally and abroad and has been a reviewer for several peer-reviewed publications as well.
