Dr. Paula Tan is a comprehensive ophthalmologist and uveitis specialist providing treatment to patients with conditions such as cataract, intraocular infections, autoimmune diseases, and more. Dr. Tan underwent specialized training in performing treatments such as intravitreal injections, anterior segment and retinal lasers, prescribing local and systemic anti-inflammatory medications especially for difficult ocular inflammatory diseases.
Medical Background
Dr. Paula Tan received her medical degree from the University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Medicine and Surgery in 2016. She then completed a 4-year residency program in Ophthalmology from St. Luke’s Medical Center, Quezon City. This was followed by fellowship training in Uveitis in Massachusetts Eye Research and Surgery Institution under the acclaimed ophthalmologist, Dr. Stephen Foster. Dr. Tan is a board-certified ophthalmologist and is a member of the Philippine Academy of Ophthalmology, as well as the Philippine Ocular Inflammation Society (POIS).
